Speaking of exploring new and old social apps, there was a piece on Last.fm turning 20 years old from Jacob Kastrenakes writing for The Verge that got me to get back into my accounts and figure out how to scrobble again. It’s not as easy as it used to be, or at least not for me, probably due to how music isn’t primarily files on the computer in front of you.

Spotify was the easiest to setup. Apple Music required a third party app, I’m using Finale for Last.fm, as I have yet to get the official app to scrobble any tracks. SONOS was the biggest pain because I was logging in with my email and password and it wanted my username and password. I get why those are different things, but I don’t get why it works on the web and it iOS apps, but not on the SONOS integration. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
